3 DAY WORKSHOP

A life changing

experience in three days.

DAY 1: FOOD AWARENESS

The first day of the workshop is an introduction, or rather a re-introduction, to Food. It breaks down food-types, food-fads, catchphrases, world views, etc. in an interactive, open-minded, non-judgemental space. Then we move onto the subject of understanding food, how it works and how nature designed it. Day One will conclude with a Practical Demonstration and Kitchen Management session, during which we will go over the average grocery list; investigate the potential areas where you can begin to wean away from habits that harm and delve deeper into the subject of eating mindfully

DAY 2: BODY AWARENESS

Your second day is a far more personal experience. What is this body and do we know what it needs? Are we the same or are we different? What is best for your body? How does it process things? How does your genetics influence your health and wellbeing? We will examine how body awareness can reflect and give insights into body design, structure and function. Each body operates differently and is gifted with its own inherent potential and mechanisms that keep it ticking. Day Two explores the influencing variables like genetic design, the relationship between the brain and the body, and of course, responses to food and what the body needs to be at its healthiest. The day will involve a lot of self-reflection and will wind up with a session where you will practically apply the principles during the Show & Tell segment.

DAY 3: DIS-EASE AWARENESS

Your body is an army – the liver is the captain, the heart is the headquarters, the brain is the intelligence agency, triglycerides hold the fort, sniper immune cells are on 24×7 surveillance and the digestive tract is a storehouse of artillery and ammunition. So how do we get sick when our body comes with such state-of-the-art defence. What makes us susceptible to illness and what can we do to return the body to its original state of wellbeing? On Day Three, we go deep into the subject of why the body experiences malfunction. We decode the illnesses with the“itis” suffix – illnesses that are inflammatory in nature and what it really means. From diabetes to Crohn’s, constipation to cancer, Day Three breaks down the enigma and the fear of disease and opens a door of understanding. When you understand, you are equipped to put together an action plan wherein you learn to listen to the body, recognise its symptoms, and tune yourself to what goes on inside. From a place of stress and sickness, you learn to find your way back to self-affirmation, self-care, and eventually to true self-love. And that, according to us, is life at its fullest and best. Like THAC founder Dr. Vijaya Venkat used to say, ‘Health awareness is Life awareness.”

How Does It Work ?

  • The workshop will give you fundamental concepts of food, health and wellness.
  • Paint a true picture of commonly held myths and assumptions of food, body, earth and disease.
  • Draw parallels and connections with the health of the earth and yours. By exploring these ancient links and DNA codes, the workshop encourages you to make conscious choices that lead to a simpler and more sustainable lifestyle.
  • Persuade you to move towards a more invigorating lifestyle, where your daily choices are based on body feedback and add up to you functioning at your optimum.
  • Teach you where the connecting dots lie, connect them and finally crack the code. Wellbeing is no longer an abstract idea, but a very practical, do-able, daily reality.
  • Help you become an active participant with your body. You become more mindful with your food. You make better choices, rely less on packaged food (also reducing your plastic waste), reflect on your decisions, understand and respond well to your symptoms.
  • Sketch out an action plan to explain and translate the main concepts into daily practice.

Workshop Process

  • Participation is essential for all three days as the modules are interconnected.
  • Nutritious meals and drinks will be provided on all days. Giving you, literally, a taste of what is to come.
  • Information, additional reference and reading material, and thoroughly curated screenings everyday.
  • Deactivation sessions to pause, relax and reflect. Ease into the present with your mind and body. Discover awareness, take the time to send it individually to your organs in isolation and especially the senses.
  • Frame an action plan to manage symptoms, pain relief or enhance energy and vitality.

 

Not just the workshop,

join the wellness community.

What happens after the workshop? Your “THAC Buddy,” an anchored member member from the THAC community will guide you for the next 21 days. In the first week, right after the workshop, you will be given time to acclimatise to the change. Your buddy will be your support system and will help you through this phase without getting overwhelmed.

Once you’re done with this 21-day period, you will become a part of a larger online community – the THAC TorchHolders.

Each member of the community is an ambassador of the community’s values and adherence to natural laws. The community is held together by mutual respect and a willingness to help each other grow in wellness consciousness.

Each city’s community will have their own WhatsApp group and will meet once in two months at the Food and Nature Connects – an event which will be held simultaneously in Mumbai, Pune, Delhi and Bangalore.
