RENUKA MIR

Born and brought up in the suburbs of Mumbai, Renuka was a wide-eyed and young B.Com Graduate with a Diploma in Secretarial Practice, who was trying to figure out what she wanted to do. After working in an office for a few months she found herself still out of place, craving that role where she could put her energy to good use and be creative.

And just like that, the opportunity to work in the garment industry manifested itself. From working in a buying house in Mumbai to working as a merchandiser for some of the top brands in Dubai between 1990 to 2001, her journey was indeed an exceptional one.

In the year 2002, she took a break from her professional life and returned to Mumbai due to personal reasons. She was content being with her mother, her family and her two children.

In her own words, “Life balance always keep shifting depending on what phase of life one is in. And as life changes, it is up to us how we want to make the shift.”

When she was least expecting it, the opportunity at THAC presented itself. Here she could work and take care of her children. She met the enigmatic Dr. Vijaya Venkat and she knew that this is what she had been looking for. Dr. Venkat immediately saw the potential in her and it was under her guidance that she learned how to bring her creativity, experience and her hardworking nature into perfect synergy at THAC.

Today, thirteen years into her THAC journey, she is not just an employee. She is a mediator for THAC, where she listens to clients, empathises with them, manages appointments and admin work along with handling the resource room at the Centre. She is the force that Dr. Venkat saw her to be, putting all her energy into making everything that she does an absolutely wonderful experience.
